Is God in control? This study on the sovereignty of God and the free will of man shows what the Bible says – and why our words and actions matter.

(Acts 17:11: Please learn to do your own Bible studies like this one – here.)

Intro – a Letter of Concern

A letter of concern – and a probable prophetic loving warning concerning some much used phrases.

This is a letter of concern – and I do need to warn you, that there is strong language and strong rebukes here. Not because I am wanting to be better or superior (I just want to serve my King and freely give away all He has given me) – but out of a deep broken heart of concern and a feeling of God speaking to me and wanting to speak this through me.

Maybe some of this is actually true and from God. I definitely only know and prophesy in part (1 Corinthians 13:9), I see in part (1 Corinthians 13:12). I am broken and in my sinful nature, which is part of me, dwells no good thing (Romans 7:18).

To realize the things below more and more – has freed me from seeing God as somehow emotionally not being completely 100% for me… I previously ate and swallowed the bait and the hook of a lie of Satan, hell, and his demons.

Repenting completely from believing and acting on that grave lie and temptation which was to sin – has set me free from the sin of believing even a millisecond in the partial rejection of the Father against me.

And that root was what was giving energy to me watching porn – even as a radical, on fire, born again, tongue talking, healing the sick, serving in church, tithing, BA in theology educated leading Christian for 18 years…

From that platform which I now have and stand firm on of complete freedom from watching porn and self satisfaction, self medication and self satisfaction – living in so much more freedom, peace, and obedience than ever before, and from that platform of now setting others free through repentance to the goodness of God and freedom from demons of rejection and more and preaching the fullness of the pure goodness of Daddyo – is from which I speak the following.

To read and hear my whole freedom story, please see the Word doc or YouTube. All my teachings about how to be free etc.: OneDrive overview.

Before you read any further can I ask you to take 5 minutes to meditate on (think deeply about) the following Scripture:

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

1 John 5:19

And can I ask you to meditate on this thought from Scripture:

God delegated “control”, let go of control, did not create pre-programmed machines, when He said: “Do not eat of that tree.” (Genesis 2:16-17). He gave them a choice. He gave them control of their choices – their free will – and He honors, respects and does not break that delegation!

They could say no to God. So, because of this being true valuable love, this being true honor of choice and true consequences of that choice – God delegated the control – partly – to us humans.

God still has His plans and will – but it is not by force – but by freely chosen love and obedience – based on love and freedom.

Here Goes…

I very rarely take these words into my mouth and write with such large letters but I strongly feel the Father, the Son, and the Spirit of God saying:

THIS MUST END! NOW!! ENOUGH!!

What is wrong, you might ask?

Christians locally and globally are being defeated, they are letting their guard down, they are buying into determinism, laissez-faire, into passivity, into disobedience but with wrongful erroneous religious well-sounding language cloaking the disobedience. It sounds right and good – but is really bad.

We must no longer let ourselves be lied to. We must no longer let ourselves be limited. We must repent = change. Stop what is wrong now – and start what is right = think and speak and act differently.

Christians are buying into excuses to be disobedient. They are falsely defining me, God. They are accusing me of not being fully good without saying it directly but by subliminal correct sounding inference. Therefore, they are not seeing the miraculous power of Me at work in and through them when they should!

What am I talking about?

Have you ever heard sentences like this from good Christian men and women – in sermons, dialogues, in prayer meetings, and even in worship songs sung on repeat?

“God is in control.”

“We put this into the hands of God.”

“God will send revival.” / “God send revival.” / “The revival is coming.”

“God is sovereign.”

“Remember, you are a sinner.” (Indre Mission DK = you have to submit to sin)

… and any other statement that somehow puts even the tiniest little evil into the heart and actions of God.

You have heard it said: “We put this into your hands, God.” “God is in control.” “God send revival.” “Submit to limitations of a personality test. You ARE this. God made you like this.” “You only have one or two spiritual gifts.”

But I say (God): “Do not put into My hands, what I have put in yours to do – with Me, in Me, through Me. You can do all things in and with and through me.

Do not abdicate, deny, and lay aside your responsibility of personally choosing repentance, freely choosing humility, choosing to seek me, choosing to obey, choosing to have extreme faith, choosing to find my will & do it, choosing to break fear, personally choosing to take the same discipleship education as I, Jesus, gave all my followers.

Choose to obey and submit to what?? The best thing that exists: My complete love for you and act in faith based on complete perfect love and friendship and use your authority to speak to mountains and demons.”

I will explain how these well-meaning sentences end with disobedience toward the obedience of love and us taking responsibility to a correct level later in this study. I will show how the consequence of all these sentences are bad, evil, limiting, and faulty to the core if not thoroughly and precisely explained and understood.

Please rip these sentences said without extremely sharp limitations into pieces and burn them and flush them out the toilet. The problem is that by themselves they sound like faith, and trust, they sound holy, pious, God-honoring, faith-filled, right, and religious.

But they are in too many cases to count born in the pit of Hell and represent wrong theology and lead to direct disobedience and sin compared to Jesus’ being (character and essence), words, and action and commands to us to be like Him now – and to our responsibility to repent, act, rise up in His power, believe, change things, humble ourselves, drive demons out, change situations, have faith and take action and bring Heaven to earth in His name.

How Do I Dare Say This So Strongly?

Here are the words of the Bible itself when summing up what Jesus – our Master under whom we are apprentices – learning to do all He did:

Jesus came to “destroy the works of the devil”. (1 John 3:8)

And in Acts 10:38 another summary of what Jesus did – which is exactly what we are to do as well: God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.

Do you realize – we are to do what Jesus did? He is our Master – we are His disciples sent out to do exactly what He did. Please read Matthew 28:18-20, which says: “Go make disciples. Teach them to obey everything I have commanded you”. Jesus commanded many things.

Part of it was Matthew 10 and Luke 10. Have you been trained to do these things? Have you gone, acted on, taken quality time to first be and then to make disciples who make disciples like it says here?

It is not rocket science – but really plain and simple – but of course – super challenging – and is a deep life transformation education that takes time – but an education which must be chosen and individually accepted.

It is easy to see what we are to be trained to do and then go do – as we, like Jesus “destroy the works of the devil”, and we “go around doing good and heal all who are under the power of the devil.”

You say: “God is in control.” And how religious, nice, right and it sounds. God must have a plan with this (evil). It sounds like faith – like trust in God – but it is actually heresy – for God now does evil. How can I be so strong?

It’s often becoming an excuse for disobedience and letting things be as they are if not thoroughly explained and if people are not educated to heal the sick, do deliverance, to repent now, and to prophesy, and get inner healing now – and so are the other sentences above.

Did you know that the Bible literally says the opposite of “God is in control” here on earth? It literally says the devil is in control.

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

1 John 5:19

ESV + NASB translations say in the same verse: We know that we are from God, and the whole world lies in the power of the evil one.

Does that match: God is in control? Can you begin to see what I am trying to say? And which I believe God is saying? Which god (little g) does the Bible say – is “in control”? Do you begin to see why we have to be extremely careful with these sentences?

Foundations of Understanding

The foundations for rebuking these sentences and to understand this teaching to give you understanding of how this world works according to the Bible is found here:

This is not “our God who is in control” – only! Yes – God is almighty and says and does things – and allows things. But Psalm 115:16 ESV says: The heavens are the LORD’s heavens, but the earth he has given to the children of man.

The 6 created wills – “influencers” of our condition on earth

But there are at least 6 “wills” in place in the world today – and none of them are under “micro management” by God. The wills are:

  • God. The will of God – the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. God has a personality, has total power & will – but chooses at this time not to force the 5 below – but has delegated power and authority via will and then atoms for the legal system to be honored.

And He honors and wants free will of choice and love from us, humans. So He has power – but has chosen not to use it – but has delegated it to us in this time – before judgment day.

  • People. Your will – and all other people’s wills. We have been given free choice.
  • Angels (good – serving God). The will of the angels of God – they only obey Him – but they do speak and choose to obey God.
  • Demons. Fallen angels and disembodied spirits. They have their own will and they are evil, liars, destroyers. They cannot be “changed” / “converted” – have made their choice – and hate God, love, and truth – and you and I. They hate everything and everybody.
  • Animals. They have their choices.
  • Atoms. They are under destruction – death – and are falling apart – not perfect. Hence storms (some are also demonic), sicknesses (some are also demonic)

God is not a micro manager who micro controls everything (yes in theological weirdness constructions). God micromanages and remote-controls none of these. One day all injustice will be judged – to clease the world completely of all that is not love, truth, and justice. That is called judgment day.

And God waits with that – because when that day starts – people can no longer choose in their bodies to repent and receive the goodness of God through the cross.

That choice must be done in the flesh – for sins are done in the flesh – and we must take responsibility for them and for repentance from them in the flesh. Therefore Jesus had to die in the flesh – and pay in the flesh.

The Order of God – His Words Are Spoken and Stand Forever

Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground.” So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number; fill the earth and subdue it. Rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky and over every living creature that moves on the ground.”

Genesis 1:26-28

The same command is given after Noah left the ark.

Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, “Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth. … Everything that lives and moves about will be food for you. Just as I gave you the green plants, I now give you everything.

Genesis 9:1-3

Therefore Jesus did not correct Satan – when he said in:

Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.”

Matthew 4:8-9

The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. And he said to him, “I will give you all their authority and splendor; it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to.

Luke 4:5-6

How did this bad transition happen?

Adam and Eve chose obedience to someone else, Satan. Whom or what we obey – is our “god”. Therefore control of this world was transferred to the evil one – and we need to take it back by faith.

We were meant to rule with and under Father, Son, and Spirit, with Him, using our authority for good over the creation.

But because Adam and Eve fell – all human kind fell in them – and therefore the created atoms, including animals, planets, and our flesh (sinful nature) came under the domain of the devil, Satan, under death, and under condemnation by God. They rebelled against God and became obedient to Satan.

God had to be true to His Word (if you eat, you will die) and their relationship with Him died, shame came in, hiding from the judgment and goodness of God came in, physical death came in. They hid from Him.

So now – human kind due to obedience to Satan has given the authority over the earth to co-reign with Satan. We are therefore in the flesh children of our father the devil.

The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

2 Corinthians 4:4

Now is the time for judgment on this world; now the prince of this world will be driven out.

John 12:31

But didn’t Jesus win? YES – but we have to decide to let that be true and change us so we now will win in and through Him in life – by submitting in obedience to Him

Jesus turned it around, yes. He has the victory, yes. Jesus paid the price, yes! But He gave it to us to believe, receive, enforce and act on the victory – first in ourselves through repentance – then helping others.

Jesus gave us authority over Satan (and all other demons) in His name and He also gave us power over sickness in His name (Matthew 10:1, Luke 9:1-2, Luke 10:19).

He also gave us authority to release soul-prisoners from limitation-jail, send blindness on the blind (Acts 13:8-12), kill trees (Mark 11:12-25), stop planets (Joshua 10:1-15), kill people (Acts 5:1-11), walk on water (Matthew 14:28), raise the dead (Matthew 10:7-8), be rescued by fish, fly through the air (Acts 8:39-40), stop storms and much more (Google all Scripture and more yourself).

All done in a close intimate friendship and partnership with Him – led by the Holy Spirit – as well as us taking initiative, being mature, and being obedient generally to His Word – as well as specifically to the leading of the Spirit (John 5:19). Not an either – or scenario.

We go, we preach, we heal, we obey, not as remote controlled robots, but as willing humble servants, as kids, as friends, as His beloved bride, we take initiative to obey, for He loved us first. Then He works with us confirming the Word with signs following (Hebrews 2:4, Mark 16:20, Romans 15:18-19, Acts 14:3).

God is not after micro-management and control – but after freedom, willing obedience, repentance, friendship out of and founded on His true love – a solid healthy partnership.

Is God sovereign, almighty, truly in ultimate control, and does He orchestrate things, so things end up turning out for good for those that love Him and therefore fully obey Him – including revival, and does He have His will and does things without our permission at all? Yes…

BUT!!!

But we have to be so very careful what the consequences of this understanding is.

For since we as Christians don’t always and automatically and our leaders don’t always show us how to take the responsibility – fully humbly repent, intimately, child-like(ly) seek Dadddyo, and to persist against evil, pray continuously, deeply repent, fully change, obey everything Jesus commanded, believe, act, love in action, use our full authority over all demons, be direct disciples learning apprentices under Jesus – our Master – to be fullness disciples – who make fullness disciples, we have for many years not fiercely pursued taking the fullness of the education Jesus Christ gave His disciples – we lose to the enemy way too early in the good fight of faith – for we surrender and say: God is in control, God is sovereign, God is almighty, we put this into the hands of God, we are all sinners anyways, God will fix this if He wants to, we cannot understand His will, God will do what He wants to do – and send revival if He wants.

The Sentences That Need To Stop Being Said With No Strong Context and With No Full Discipleship Education Reflects Evil Unto The Heart And Character Of God – and nothing could be more wrong than that. For if He is even the slightest bit evil, not good, not wholeheartedly for us – how can we trust Him fully?

Those sentences lead us to go into being sloppy, heresy, fatalism, determinism, laissez-faire, giving up way too easily – and I will call it our directly – it is disobedience to the fullness of the commands and life of Jesus in the name of religion and religious “right sounding” language, and hence the enemy to win. We even say – this is the will of God, sometimes, when the enemy is in full evil display – thereby making God evil!

Is there persecution and suffering as part of the Christian life? Yes. Look at Jesus and how He was treated by his family, his disciples, the government, the religious leaders of His day.

I am talking about when we blame God for things where we need to simply keep stading against the enemy – and we need to go deeper in repentance.

And we need to never blame God with right sounding spiritual language for things the devil, and evil people, and a fallen earth are doing.

Therefore, the conclusion is these sentences if not sharply and carefully understood and if we do not obey and follow and train ourselves and all others in all the commands they make us passive – submitting to destruction, sickness, defeat, lack, lies, loss.

The truth is

We are on enemy territory. We are ambassadors of another kingdom. God has given us free will – to choose. To repent, to change, to take responsibility for our choices – as mature adults. To obey – or to disobey. To believe or not believe.

To act or not to act. And He has delegated authority over all demons to us and commanded us to use it – and commanded us to heal the sick etc. – for we have the power to do that.

“Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:14-15

Jesus commanded this. If He commanded it – we can do it.

If you love me, keep my commands.

John 14:15

Whoever has my commands and keeps them is the one who loves me. The one who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I too will love them and show myself to them.

John 14:21

These Scriptures show what we are to be busy learning how to do and then do it

Matthew 28:18-20, Matthew 10 & Luke 10 – Jesus has been given all authority – and He has then given that authority to us, and we exercise that through repentance and obedience: Luke 19:10 – I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

See to it that no one takes you captive by philosophy and empty deceit, according to human tradition, according to the elemental spirits of the world, and not according to Christ.

Colossians 2:8

So which God are you preaching, following, praying to – when you just say, sing, and pray: God is in control? And especially since I have now shown you that the Bible says the devil is actually in control in the world?

Or you say – sounding very pious: I put this into the hand of God – when God is literally saying: You are responsible for this. I gave this world to you! Rule and reign in faith with me! Behave like Jesus did. Rule and reign with me by my Spirit.

Can you see how people are confused? And they are taught apathy, fate, determinism – which is the opposite of what Jesus taught.

Instead let’s be going for fully being at home in this:

As you go, proclaim this message: ‘The kingdom of heaven has come near.’ Heal the sick, raise the dead, … drive out demons. Freely you have received; freely give.

Matthew 10:7-8

Please read the whole story of how we should approach prayer and God here in Luke 18:1-8. The first sentence literally is: Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up. It is scary so stupid we are as Christians. We are easily fooled.

How easily we have bowed our knee to passivity, disobedience, non-faith in action – but packaged it in nice religious terms!!

Sharply Separating Salvation Faith and Miracle / Daily Supernatural Life Faith

Salvation

Is it true that salvation is by grace through faith only? Yes! Salvation is purely fixed by Jesus through faith and grace alone. We are made perfect – for we receive an eternally perfect gift establishe by the perfection of God Himself.

We are righteous, loved, perfect, accepted, by grace through the free choice of faith alone. That is established and we cannot improve it. If we try we misunderstand it, we ridicule the gift, we diminish and destroy the free gift. That is one kind of faith. Faith for salvation.

It is secured by Jesus through the cross forever and can never be shaken.

Miracles after salvation

Then there is faith for miracles – where there is a learning curve and where we are not perfect either – but our salvation through the cross is not on the line – it is not onvolved. If we do not separate the two we go into condemnation and trying to get to Heaven and into being loved and accepted through good works.

Do not be confused – because yes – even salvations come through faith generated from our obedience to the preaching – and faith through hearing and seeing miracles.

And miracles, deliverances, prophecies, being led by the Spirit, blessed finances, living in the call of God come by people deciding to repent, change, obey and step out by taking risks, by being willing to humble ourselves, by action, by demonstration, by learning, by failure, by gradual growth, by a journey of humility, perseverance, battle, stricing, eagerly seeking, obedience, submission, aggression, deep repentance.

We need to hear and must decide if we will change – as we align to all that we have been given through salvation by the Holy Spirit! But please clearly separate the 2.

One is established by the perfection of God alone – and that blood of the new covenant is not tainted by our struggles, faults, sins, failures, disobedience or sin.

Back to the sentences God does not like, for they are inaccurate

All these sentences said without the lifestyle of obedient discipleship and the demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit lead people to effectively not take the action they should, not be responsible, not repent, not using our authority, not be obedient to the clear fullness of all the obedient discipleship commands of Jesus Christ. Therefore, they must be rooted out of our language now. So says the Holy Spirit of God.

We have free will or love would be worthless and God would be unfair when He judges our sin and when He commands us to repent! But we have a non-controlling conscience. And we have a choice whether we will be obedient or not. God will not control us. He does not micro manage us. He sets us free to be free to freely choose to love Him, with no manipulation – no control!

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.

Ephesians 2:1-5

Even as Christians we can be greatly disobedient! We still have free will – even as Christians and as such we can still do both good and bad, be obedient or disobedient. Christians can have demons that they need deliverance from – and they can hide all sorts of sins.

By saying these sentences and sentences like them Christians factually end up saying God is evil – for God is “in control” and therefore wants to “let evil happen” and wants to “lets evil and injustice take over” for “God is in sovereign” and we now actually just need to submit and accept His will (in faith – argh – that very faith is EVIL itself) – and there is nothing we can or should do about it – for God is in control and it is the will of God to: Not “send” revival yet (He has sent revival by His Holy Spirit and His comands to repent and believe in the goodness of God).

If we break the circumstances of this world – where we claim God is in control – we go against the will of God for God will “teach you something” through evil.

Yes – what He will teach you is to aggressively resist – and to run into the love of the Father in the midst of injustice!! To go for justice, healing, deliverance, truth, love, humility, unity, patience, honor etc.

If you say “God is in control” – and He is not – the devil is – and people are. Then God becomes a part promoter of evil, injustice, sickness, poverty, demonization – which He is clearly NOT!! See what the Bible says about the truth of His will here:

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!” We must repent and take our own personal responsibility for stop believing the bad news that God is somehow not fully good – but repent and believe the good news.

Mark 1:15

Healing of all sickness: Jesus healed them all! Matthew 4:23-24; 8:16-17; 9:35; 12:15; 14:14, 34-36; 15:30; 19:2; and 21:14.

We are commanded to do this by Jesus Christ – our Master. Will we be His disciples? Deliverance:

One day Jesus called together his twelve disciples and gave them power and authority to cast out all demons and to heal all diseases. Matthew 10:1 – Jesus called his twelve disciples to him and gave them authority to drive out impure spirits and to heal every disease and sickness. Luke 10:19 – I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Luke 9:1

Our unbelief limits God!!! Does that sound like God is “in control”? Matthew 13:58 – And he did not do many miracles there because of their lack of faith.

“Is revival coming” – no – it is here right now. John 4:35 – Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

Jesus many times rebuked His followers for their lack of faith and belief. He still does that today:

Later Jesus appeared to the Eleven as they were eating; he rebuked them for their lack of faith and their stubborn refusal to believe those who had seen him after he had risen. Luke 24:25 – He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

Mark 16:14

Nothing is impossible with God (Luke 1:37). And nothing is impossible for the one who believes (Mark 9:23).

Money for blessing: Jesus broke the mindset and state of poverty, so we could be givers to those in need. 2 Corinthians 8:9 – For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sake he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich.

So, in conclusion – we humans get deceived by the enemy to put religious words on excuses for our own disobedience and lack of faith. Thereby we make God evil – as the Bible says. Isaiah 5:20-21 – Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter.

God says for us to wake up, repent, and take action. To be obedient disciples of Him. And as part of that to completely stop saying these things.

Is God Not Sovereign, and Does He Not Have a Will of His Own?

Am I saying – do not pray to God and God has no will of His own? By no means.

Is God in control? What does that even mean? If we just say it with weak context – people will think whatever they are going through is from God.

Absolutely NOO!!! And absolutely YES!!! Jesus was 100% man – and 100% God. The perfect human. God and Humanity in unison. He was – out of love and trust – fully submitted to His Father by the Holy Spirit. We can by the Spirit – as we choose to focus our minds on the Spirit and surf the wave of brokenness before and with God in the Spirit – be more than overcomers.

Does God take ultimate responsibility for all if this? YES, clearly as the ultimate source and Creator. But He only created the option for evil, rebellion, and lies. He is not evil, does not hurt, and does not lie or have any darkness or shifting shadows in Him (1 John 1:5, James 1:17).

Does that mean He is responsible for evil – no – He merely made evil possible for people and angels – through the gift and honor of free will – for there to be true free will and thereby true value in love.

With no free will we would all just be robots – and love would be worthless for it was not freely self-chosen, love would have the same value.

We must collaborate with and submit to the leading and will of the Holy Spirit as Jesus did. And God can and will do things and take initiative. Ideally God wants partnership – friendship, collabboration! Let’s join Him now in hearing and fullness of action.

We meet in the middle

True friendship is meeting in the middle! It is mutual submission! It is dialogue! It is mutual honor of will and choice!

Where does this all lead? What is the solution? The solution is: Deep intimate friendship with our Father – with all heartstrings fully reconciled to Him (2 Corinthians 5:18-21). See how Moses caused God to repent? See how Abraham had a dialogue with God about the decisions of God?

God can do this all by Himself – but doesn’t want to. He wants us to judge the angels. He wants us to learn to rule as heirs to His Kingdom. He wants us to rule & reign with Christ.

Our words & actions & beliefs therefore really truly matter. They shape us into action – what we choose to believe becomes our reality. The truth of what we actually believe in our heart of hearts influence all things. All decisions.

I am saying that because the church leaders many times have not taught on and practiced and demonstrated the power of God – due to some misunderstandings and misuse, yes, but Jesus still commands it to be done in a healthy way.

We cannot afford to throw the command of Jesus out because others have practiced obedience unhealthily.

When have you last demonstrated like Jesus did, to others, how to heal the sick, cast out demons, stop storms, prophesy, fill people with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, find the person of peace, and raise the dead?

Jesus constantly did this – and then sent out His followers to do the same – also along with teaching, and doing justice and truth, having a holy nice fruit of the Spirit personality etc. thereby destroying the works of the devil.

And have you done it with faith, persistence, and tenacity against resistance, against that it seemed to not work the first time, standing firm, unmoveable from the will of Heaven?

We must stop asking God to do – what He has commanded us to do because He has given us power and authority to do it! Healing, deliverance, prophesy, Spirit filling, preaching, evangelism are some of those things.

By saying that these problems (whatever they are) are just my lot in life, for I have asked God for freedom and He has not taken these things away, we end up agreeing God has given us something evil. So, He is evil (at least partly).

I did this – and then I self-satisfied outside Him – for I am created for full satisfaction in God, but God was not fully trustworthy of all my heart and complete satisfaction. I therefore kept some of my heart for myself.

We end up accepting generational curses, attacks, sicknesses, sins, demons, root sins, and bad theology as things that are coming from the will of God.

Exactly when people do not practice & submit to healthy deliverance – I was stuck in porn for 18 terrible limiting years – they come up with the thought:

  • Maybe this is just my lot in life.
  • Maybe it is just my personality.
  • Maybe this is from God to me to keep me healthy / humble.
  • I just need to remember I am a sinner (accept defeat in areas of holiness or anywhere else).
  • God is sovereign.

But I was in sin, idolatry, believing lies, needed to wake up, take responsibility, repent of sin, and needed to get deliverance and to use my authority. And I needed to do it now. I could have done any second of the 18 years!

When I repented – then I got freedom. It was never ever any of the points above. Those would be lies from the enemy giving me license / permissions of compromise – keeping me from taking responsibility, humbling myself, repenting, & getting deliverance.

And now we are not even talking only my sin. Even think of generational curses that are HUGE problems as well.

So – you choose what you will believe. We get – what we believe and act on. Do you believe life is about: True honor and glory and importance of choice and love based on intimate friendship and collaboration with the Father, or do you believe we are passive, cold, meaningless machines?

I choose the truth that we are to enter into love, honor, glory and meaning however hard, bad, terrible, under destruction our lives are, and I bid welcome to the war – the suffering and the risks that come with it.

Scripture on the 5 Sentences

So – just to put Scripture on each of the 5 bad but “sounds right” and “sounds like faith” and “sounds religious” sentences:

1. You have heard it said: “God is in control.”

But I say the Bible says:

We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.

1 John 5:19

The Pharisees and the experts in the law rejected God’s purpose for themselves.

Luke 7:30

If you say “God is in control” – which “god” are you talking about? Be so very careful this does not paint even a micron of doubt on the total purity, justice, and love of Daddy. And that it does not remove our absolute responsibility to choose to respond in love and action on His absolute pure love and action.

2. You have heard it said: “We put this into the hands of God.”

But I say the Bible says:

When Jesus had called the Twelve together, he gave them power and authority to drive out all demons and to cure diseases,

Luke 9:1

I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.

Luke 10:19

“Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them.

Mark 11:23

“The time has come,” he said. “The kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”

Mark 1:15

Do not put back into the hands of God – what He has decided to put into your hands.

3. You have heard it said: “God will send revival.”

(Also: “God send revival.” / “The revival is coming.”)

But I say the Bible says:

John 4:35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.

I tell you, now is the time of God’s favor, now is the day of salvation.

2 Corinthians 6:2

So, revival is now – if we repent, believe, and obey.

4. You have heard it said: “God is sovereign.”

But I say the Bible says:

“Now fear the LORD and serve him with all faithfulness. Throw away the gods your ancestors worshiped beyond the Euphrates River and in Egypt, and serve the LORD. But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Joshua 24:14-15

He came to that which was his own, but his own did not receive him. Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God

John 1:11-12

Yes. God makes His own decisions and has His own will. But He has delegated choice and the honor of responsibility to us.

5. You have heard it said: “Remember, you are a sinner.”

(Indre Mission DK = you have to submit to doing some sin – it is unavoidable – so bow to it)

But I say the Bible says:

Yes. Romans 7:18 – For I know that good itself does not dwell in me, that is, in my sinful nature. For I have the desire to do what is good, but I cannot carry it out.

The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

Romans 8:15-16

Those who live according to the flesh have their minds set on what the flesh desires; but those who live in accordance with the Spirit have their minds set on what the Spirit desires.

Romans 8:5

Christians are called saints almost 100 times in the Bible. They are called sinners once (1 Timothy 1:15). So the main identity we should have is to be a saint – over that of a sinner (cause us to accept we must sin). A saint is: a completely holy, pure, blameless, and clean one. See dictionary here: 1.
