(Acts 17:11: Please learn to do your own Bible studies like this one – here.)

The friendship walk, identity, practices, and disciplines and 7 stages of maturity in normal Jesus-style original discipleship.

This Discipleship Growth Test Is Based on Scriptures Like

Matthew 28:20 – Teach all disciples to obey everything I have commanded you.

The things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.

2 Timothy 2:2

Jesus said, “Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” And with that he breathed on them and said, “Receive the Holy Spirit.”

John 20:21-22

Matthew 10 – please read this complete job-description of discipleship which Jesus Himself lived by – by yourself – and see how He gave it to all followers.

Luke 10 – please read this complete job-description of discipleship which Jesus Himself lived by – by yourself – and see how He gave it to all followers.

The Sermon on the Mount

As well as the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7).

And the rest of the New Testament – and Old Testament.

And it is based on the understanding that all the gifts of the Holy Spirit are for all disciples.

The 5-fold ministry gifts from Jesus of Ephesians 4:11-16 are called and set by Jesus to walk in all of the areas below and then train us in all of this – each from their unique perspective. For instance – when teaching on casting out demons – a pastor will focus a lot on loving people, a prophet will focus more on hearing from God in the process.

Mark Where You Are in Each Category

Please mark where you are in each category in this self-evaluation test. Our life goal should be – after years of healthy training – to mark column 7 in all aspects of Jesus discipleship training school – to be able to do what He did and which He copy-pasted into His followers.

If you are not able to mark column 7 in all rows, the responsibility is first on you to do what it takes to get there – taking realistically into account your talents, skills, life situation, obligations, commitments, finances etc. It is also on 5-fold ministry team gifts to help train you to do it.

We should all do our utmost to first look at ourselves and be this and do this ourselves – and then give it away to all who are wanting and willing – proven in action.

A Very Gradual Education and Life Journey

Yes – this is a very gradual education and life journey, but with good training 97% of all people (= you!) can grow into all of this to their level of skill and ability – and even that, God can increase.

And the more we believe it and apply ourselves to do this – the faster we will end up here.

Each of us as we are trained will reach different levels at different times. We grow – not by comparison with others who have different levels of talent and are at a different place in their education, but by looking at the common goal. Jesus will only but also fully expect what we truly can be expected to walk in.

Priorities in the List

There are priorities in the list below in terms of what is the most important in a person’s journey like being born again, intimacy with Him and holiness and the fruit of the Spirit – but not stringent in terms of – imagine your first encounter with Jesus was Lazarus being raised, or the demonic epileptic boy who screamed and fell like a dead man. We encounter Jesus – and then grow deeper and wider and higher in Him.

Normal Average Discipleship Training

Super important: All the below is the normal average and expected education to learn to be able to do for all disciples. This normal average discipleship training must be separated from individual calling, which is this: Where will we do what we do as disciples? When? To whom?

How do we do it all most effectively and without compromise in our culture and setting? From which perspective? With which level of influence and responsibility? In which language?

But gradually and as fast as possible we need to be learning how and then doing the things below which are not optional within obedience to Jesus for any disciple who wants the fullness of exponential multiplication maturity and parenthood. They are 100% lovingly commanded by our Master for all.

Obedience Is Love

We then choose to be disobedient or obedient. Let’s be obedient. It is super exciting to be used by God supernaturally. Obedience is love – John 14:21: Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. John 14:15: If you love me, keep my commands.
