My Identity in Christ – Who I Am Now That I Am Born Again

Your identity in Christ is who you already are in God’s eyes since you were born again – here is a confession and action list, with Scriptures, to believe it, say it, and live it.

(Acts 17:11: Please learn to do your own Bible studies like this one – here.)

Foundation

Jesus said: “Blessed are those who both hear – and do what I say.” (Luke 11:28). He also said: “My kingdom is here now. Repent (think differently) and believe in the good message (= don’t believe the bad news of the un-love and untrustworthiness of God). Believe God fully, wholeheartedly, radically loves you.” This is how Mark 1:14-15 is accurately understood. We choose if we want to believe the good message. He will never force it on us – for He has given us and honors our free will choice.

Please let this sink into the foundation of your very being. You are – in God’s perspective – already coming FROM a place of already being fully seen, fully loved, fully accepted by a completely purely good and righteous God. The only question is: Will you believe and receive it and prove it by acting on it?

You might say: How do I know this is God’s perspective always? Look only to the cross for the answer: Jesus is the Lamb who was slain – before the foundation of the world (Revelation 13:8).

So say – and act on: I am truly all these wonderful things eternally – in Christ!

If the thoughts in you do not align with these things – you either need deep inner healing, a change in your theology or deliverance or all 3. On this foundation you need to repent TO the UNDILUTED LOVE GOODNESS of God by taking responsibility for your own thoughts before Daddyo, and go for getting inner healing, and probably some deliverance from evil spirits who are inside or outside (outside temptation from the enemy will be there until Heaven) and will keep disturbing you – as well as a foundational adjustment of your theology on the goodness of God – to only look for an answer to whether God is good – by looking at the cross.

Who Are We Now?

This Bible study will answer this question:

Who are we, now that we have chosen to receive the grace of God through faith in Jesus Christ – and that He took all our sins on Himself on the cross forever? He didn’t have to, but freely chose to do it.

All of this is already true for you in the spirit – so you need to choose to change your mind (repent) and receive, believe, and act, to begin to experience its realities in your physical life.

So, please, I ask and command alongside Jesus – run into the pure unstopped complete and perfect love of the Father – and “get your fight on”. Be mature – not a little hurt child. Use the gift of God – your free will – and choose to stand on the truth of who you are in Christ – and use the authority He has given you in His name and command the demons to leave you (do not ask them nicely and politely). Take every thought captive and bring it to obedience under Christ (2 Corinthians 10:5). Take responsibility to stop your thoughts and address them both by deciding to replace them with truth and by commanding the demon “helping” with things like fear, anxiety, stress, depression, anger, rage, lust, doubt, accusation, self-satisfaction, rejection, self-pity, and confusion. You can resist God’s plan with you (Luke 7:30). Stop resisting the goodness of God by proactively resisting the enemy (James 4:7). And also, by addressing the resistance in you or around you from them as real spiritual external demonic voices of temptations and lies and command those demons to be silent – and to leave you in the name of Jesus, even when the words come through people (Matthew 16:23). Jesus told the enemy directly and out in the air satan to leave (Matthew 4:10). He has clearly, permanently given us the authority in His name to do exactly the same (Luke 10:19).

So, please, memorize these good, loving, eternal, truths, so you can fill your mind, soul, emotion, will, spirit and then actions with the love and truth about you from Father God’s perspective. And also, not negotiable, act on them – whatever it takes to agree in your mind, and to step out in faith. Faith is proven in action. Let your words about yourself and others agree with these truths. And when the Word of God says Jesus did a certain thing from God, and the disciples did it – then you and I can do it too. We just need to become apprentices and start learning how – knowing there will be mistakes, for that is part of growth. Just own that normal learning process.

Remember – these are decisions you make to agree with the truth (as a mature adult believer) – not emotions you follow and obey. The enemy will try to manipulate your emotions and tell you the love of the Father is not true and that sin is not really that bad, when the Bible says it ultimately kills and is an egotistical filthy rag – and similar lies.

So… Here We Go – Listen and Absorb Deeply and Carefully

The great “I AM” lives in you – and you are in Him. And in Him, this is 100% eternal truth about you now – bought by blood, death, suffering, and resurrection!

Allow the true Holy Spirit to deeply speak these truths to you. Repeat this truth – preferably out loud now over yourself. Let your mind be washed with the Word of truth about you from Heaven – from Father’s perspective.

Who are we? What is my true identity in Christ Jesus? And how do I take action on it?

Say: “I am…”

  • An intimate beloved friend of God, my dear, dear Father
  • A child (daughter / son) of Abba Daddyo
  • A warrior in His army of love and justice and resurrection power
  • A brother / sister to Jesus
  • The pure bride of Jesus Christ
  • Perfect in the eyes of God through the blood of Jesus which I have personally chosen to believe in – and I do believe in it!
  • A disciple of my Master, Jesus Christ, who does all that He commanded His disciples in the Bible (including Matthew 5–7, Matthew 10, and Luke 10 – and all else)

A good place to look for true and good words from Daddyo, God, (not in any way imperfect and unjust like your earthly father) is also here: FathersLoveLetter.com

How do you appropriate all the wonderful eternal truths about your identity?

Say these sentences and Scriptures out loud. Act on them – when you least feel like it – making you a mature and adult believer – not simply driven by feelings – but driven by a responsible decision making by your free will.

Know that these truths have been bought for you by the blood of Jesus, the death of Jesus, the payment of Jesus for your sins, taking the full punishment, shame, abandonment, rejection, accusation on Him – therefore you have never been shamed by God, abandoned, rejected, accused by the Father. It’s all coming from the pit of hell. It’s a lie. It’s a false “construct”.

Make a decision – not by feelings – but by eternal fact: Confess = say these things out loud – for they are fully yours in God’s opinion and perspective. Print them out and put them on your walls. Write them on your mirrors. And act on them – do not just say them – but act – do them as much as it is possible. Live them out – no matter if you feel it or not. Sometimes you will – sometimes you won’t. The truths, promises, and facts – are true no matter if you feel the presence and experience the goodness of God or not.

Confession and Action List

With the Scriptures – please do click and look them up to root yourself in the actual Word of God

As you hear, confess, believe, receive, and act on these truths – intimacy with the Father God, freedom and fruitfulness for eternity will increase in your life.

Friendship and Kids of Daddyo (Abba) (John 15:15, Romans 8:15, Titus 3:5)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I am fully, radically, wholeheartedly loved by the Father, my Daddyo, my best friend. I will choose to spend quality heart to heart raw friendship time with you, my Daddyo.
  • Action: Simply receiving it. Acknowledging it in your mind, with your words, and with your actions. We have it all by faith – which simply means to choose to say yes to receive it wholeheartedly. It is yours. The problem of sin is fixed – but you have to accept it – but that is not a “good deed” that is a humble, repentant deed – acknowledging you did nothing to fix it yourself! That is pure grace – and your free will decision to receive that raging river of eternal perfect undeserved love from the heart of God for you. Set time aside to just hang out and be friends with God – just like Jesus did. Behave normally, please – as you would hang out with a physical human friend. Don’t act religiously with God.

Reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:19-20)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I have never been alone, rejected, or abandoned – for I have always been fully seen, adopted and a friend of Daddyo in Your eyes (I have not always chosen to believe it – but I do now – and I will for the rest of my life).
  • Action: Do nothing other than say yes to this. No good works required to qualify. Jesus qualified you through His blood and death. You are at peace.

Perfection (2 Corinthians 5:21)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I am made absolutely perfect and guilt free in your eyes, Daddyo. I am exactly as righteous, holy, and guilt free as You are, yourself, God. You’ve given me your righteousness and perfection and purity and holiness. Every millisecond I am forgiven and cleansed, permanently, simply through receiving that by faith in the cross, the blood, the perfect eternal forgiveness from you, Jesus.
  • Action: Simply acknowledge, receive it, and rejoice in it – by faith. For it is appropriated with thanksgiving, joy, decision and action of gladness.

Blessings (Ephesians 1:3)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I am blessed, and I am a blessing, Daddyo. You are absolutely and completely satisfied with me – by grace alone this has been paid for in full by you, Jesus.
  • Action: Just hanging out in secret with the Father – will leave you blessed! He will begin to reveal His plans for you – as you do them, you will also be blessed.

Peace (John 14:27)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I have perfect peace with God. I have been eternally reconciled with you Daddyo, you, Jesus, my brother, and you, Holy Spirit. We are all best friends; past, present, and future – forever!
  • Action: NO religion. NO repetition. NO performance. NO self perfection. No striving. Just – as you are – all messy – just reception: You are already completely loved and accepted by faith in Jesus. The Holy Spirit in you – gives you this peace (Romans 8:16 – the inner witness).

Promises (2 Corinthians 1:20)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: All of the promises of God are mine.
  • Action: I confess your promises, and I act on them. I hear and do. I seek you and I act as your best friend.

Doing good things obeying His loving commands (Ephesians 2:10, John 14:15, Matthew 28:18-20)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I am a worker, willingly and wholeheartedly walking in what you, Daddy, have planned for me. You willingly, Jesus, and wholeheartedly gave your life for mine. Now I wholeheartedly give my life for you. I learn to see and obey what you, Daddyo, are doing – and I do what you show me. I am a disciple who makes disciples, who make disciples. I am hospitable and open up my life and home to both friends and strangers to see people get to know Your love.
  • Action: I now start doing what I need to do. I get taught and trained and mentored in all that Jesus sent out His disciples to do in for instance Matthew 10 and Luke 10.

Suffering and Persecution (James 1:2-4, John 15:19-20, 1 Peter 4:12-16)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I am blessed to receive persecution and unjust suffering for my faith.
  • Action: When persecuted – and when I suffer unjust treatment – I will choose to rejoice for You were treated the same way – and I should expect that it will happen. In the midst of that I will praise and thank you, and I will tell of your goodness – empowered by you, Holy Spirit.

Fullness of all things (John 1:16, Colossians 2:9, 2 Corinthians 8:9)

  • I confess: In and through you, Christ Jesus: I have become rich in every way – for You became poor, so that I could become rich. I am rich in the Spirit, in love, honor, grace, healing, and power. I am rich in soul – and healed in my mind, will, and emotions through Your Word. I am healed in my body through Your stripes. I am rich with brothers and sisters in the faith all across the world. I am wealthy monetarily as a worker is worth their hire.
  • Action: Believe God for wealth and fullness of richness in all areas of life. The most important area is – intimate true and fully satisfied and acted-upon friendship with the Father through Jesus, by Holy Spirit. Then comes ALL other areas of life.
