I expose myself. I expose my mistakes and weaknesses. I fully take ownership.
This page is a continuing confession and invitation to truth, repentance, healing, reconciliation, and accountable restoration in Christ.
- I have led groups and ministry while being addicted to pornography and wasting time. Scripture requires leaders to be sober-minded, self-controlled, and not controlled by excess or addiction (1 Timothy 3:2-3; Titus 1:7-8). I should not have led while I lacked freedom from those addictions. Today I am free from the root lies that convinced me I was partially rejected by God, and from accusations against God that I was rejected. I am therefore free from the demons of rejection, accusation, rebellion, self-pity, self-satisfaction, and lust. I am continuing to walk in truth, humility, and accountable freedom.
- If you are dealing with addictions to self-comfort, self-satisfaction, or self-pity—such as gambling, dishonesty, stealing, smoking, drinking, drugs, overspending, overeating, sugar-comforting, over-exercising, or overworking—and you are in leadership, please make freedom your highest priority. Choose a real break from leadership until you are truly free and living transparently under healthy accountability. I and my team can help.
- I have not understood the depth of the justice system of the Kingdom of my Father according to Matthew 18:15-20 and 1 Timothy 5:19-21. I have held grudges, I have not done well, and I have not consistently invited people to speak with me directly. I invite anyone who has something against me to come and speak with me, and I will prioritise that conversation. Please write through the contact form. Jesus teaches that when we remember someone has something against us, we should first seek reconciliation: Matthew 5:23-24.
- I allowed the faith of Christian Hedegaard to overtake me in the early 2000s when we took an offering from our church in Ringkøbing toward the down payment on a house for the church. We have felt that this was wrong and have offered to repay the money with interest. Some wanted the money returned; others did not. We later sold the house and lost approximately 400,000 DKK on it.
- I have placed people into leadership too soon. I had not realised that even creating a WhatsApp or Messenger group can be leadership. I have not always fully seen the need for everyone to be under healthy, impartial, mature accountability. People who were still living as orphans have been placed into leadership; people full of rejection and performance-fruit, rather than secure in grace-alone theology and identity by faith, have been placed there too soon.
- And more. I will continue to examine my life honestly before God and people, receive correction, make amends where possible, and walk in the light.
